Catie & Josh

Intimate Beach Cottage Wedding

“I can honestly say that this was the best decision we made. Bryan is a very talented videographer, but his process for understanding what is important to his couples and being able to capture exactly that is truly amazing. We got married at my family cottage, which Bryan knew was a very special place to us. He was able to capture some drone footage of the property which was such a special touch.
We are so thankful to Bryan for working with us and providing such a special way for us to relive our wedding day over and over again.”

About the Wedding

Some love stories don’t need grand stages — they just need the right setting, and the right people.

Catie and Josh’s wedding on their family’s private cottage property in Port Elgin, Ontario was a beautiful reminder of how personal and meaningful a celebration can feel when it’s grounded in the places and people that matter most.

With a ceremony held right on the beach, golden sunlight filtering through the trees, and one of Port Elgin’s famous sunsets waiting at the end of the night — the day felt effortlessly romantic from start to finish.

The property itself held deep sentimental value for Catie’s family, adding another layer of tenderness to every moment captured.

One of the most memorable highlights? Their dog — swept up in the excitement — dashed into the celebration, bringing a burst of laughter and joy that perfectly matched the energy of the day. Moments like that, real and unfiltered, are exactly what make a wedding film feel alive decades later.

Catie and Josh were the kind of couple who didn’t need much direction: their genuine affection and deep connection were obvious to everyone around them. My role was simply to step back, let the day unfold naturally, and capture the quiet glances, laughter, and spontaneous celebrations that told their story best.

It was a joy to witness, and an even greater honor to preserve.
