Bekah & Luke
Cayuga ON, Emotional Family Wedding
“We are beyond grateful for Bryan. He went above and beyond to create something so deeply meaningful to us. He even seamlessly incorporated old home videos from the 90s. I’m in awe of the amount of care and intention that went into every detail.
One of the most touching parts was how thoughtfully he honoured my dad. It wasn’t just a video, it was a tribute, and it meant more to us than we can ever express. With using our home video footage, he was able to make it that much more wholesome and beautiful. The way that he matched it to specific things in his wedding footage was truly amazing. We cried watching it, because it felt like us.
Bryan is unbelievably talented and such a genuinely amazing person. You can tell he truly loves what he does.
I’d hire him a million times if we could. If you’re thinking of booking him, you will be so grateful you did.”
- Bekah
Some stories ask to be told with extraordinary care, and Bekah & Luke’s wedding at Ruthven Park National Historic Site remains one of the deepest and most meaningful films I’ve ever created.
Their day was a blend of joy and quiet reverence, shaped by the intertwining themes of family, loss, and the hope of a new beginning. Bekah’s father had passed not long before their daughter was born, and his absence was felt in the most loving, intentional way. In the months before the wedding, we visited his gravesite together, a peaceful, private moment where Bekah read a poem and spent time honouring him. Filming this ahead of the wedding allowed us to weave his presence into the story gently, without overwhelming the emotion of the day itself. It was exactly what she hoped for: a way to keep her dad close without letting grief overshadow celebration.
Their film also includes pieces of their personal history: VHS footage from their childhoods, and moments with Bekah’s dad when he was alive. These small, imperfect clips carried immense weight, grounding the wedding day in a lifetime of memories and making this film richly deep in emotion.
The celebration at Ruthven Park was beautifully managed by Lindsay Plank Events, whose calm presence and thoughtful coordination allowed the day to unfold naturally. With their infant daughter there, surrounded by family, the atmosphere felt like a sacred intersection of past, present, and future.
I’m constantly reminded that the most powerful stories aren’t just about the details, they’re about the people. Bekah & Luke’s story is one of resilience, tenderness, and hope. It’s a celebration not only of their love, but of the generations behind them and the one now carried forward in their daughter.
If you’re planning a Ruthven Park National Historic Site wedding or looking for story-driven, emotionally rich wedding videography in Ontario, their film is a true reflection of how personal and powerful a wedding story can be.
